Tracey Rose
Following a traditional apprenticeship, Tracey Rose began her career in the year 2000 - back when there were only a few other ladies slingin’ ink. Over the years Tracey has gained an incredible reputation for providing solid work coupled with creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. Tracey holds tattooing as a sacred practice, and has seen first hand the healing power of the tattoo experience. She strives to create a safe, inclusive and personal setting for each client, knowing that a great experience is equally as important as great work, and can stay with you just as long as the tattoo itself.
Tracey is well-versed in every style of tattooing, but really enjoys creating designs with a nod to ‘American Traditional’ (or as she calls it, ‘Pop-Trad’), which is her spin on the old classics. Tracey has the steady hand needed for incredible linework, and enjoys tattooing fineline blackwork designs and lettering just as much as color and soft black and gray. Tracey will always jump at the chance to tattoo ‘lady head’ designs, and anything incorporating images of strong women. And as an animal lover, she really enjoys tattooing illustrative pet portraits. Tracey has won multiple awards for her tattoo work at conventions throughout the US (just look at the front window at LST!) and has been featured in tattoo magazines long before social media was ever a thing.
Above all, Tracey takes great pride in aiding individuals in empowering themselves; to take ownership of their bodies and express themselves however they see fit, paying particular attention to how each design will compliment each individual body and shape - as well as providing the perfect setting for each client to feel at home. You don’t just collect one piece from Tracey, but will likely come back for many more - some of Tracey’s clientele have even been working with her for 20 years!
